I have been looking for an easy way to convert CMYK colour to Pantone colours in the Adobe Illustrator CS2 having less and fewer troubles with Pantone Swatch Book.
I found a great script by John Wundes. This script compares the colour values of a selected object and will find the closest match. I didn’t have a chance to explore this in CS3, but I am pretty sure it is quite easy now to convert CMYK to PMS in Live Colour.

This is WONDERFUL advice. I was looking for something like this, and couldn’t find anything.

Thank you so much. Converting from CMYK to PMS is a pain, but this makes it a little easier to do. Yes, it does work in CS3. I wish it were more automatic then this, but this is just fine for now.
